It has been a while, hasn't it?
For those who don't know, I bought my first home at the end of 2013. Most of 2013 was spent looking for that home and I finally found it at the end of October. The past four months I have been experiencing some of the fun that comes with home ownership (shoveling snow! squirrels! shoveling more snow!!) Now that I have more room, I have been inspired to put a little more effort into this business. I got updated business cards and decided to make a different set of cookies every month, just for practice and the experience, and give them away to friends and family. Making cookies is fun; as someone once said to me, icing is my medium, as opposed to pencils or oil paint, though I wouldn't mind getting some time practicing that as well. All in good time.
In January, with the cold and snow still blowing, I thought of warmer weather and created these little guys:
Then in February, I made cookies for Adeline's baptism...
and used the remaining icing to make some colorful, if not scientifically correct, dinosaurs:
This month, I was still thinking of warmer weather (oh snow & cold, you might be overstaying your welcome):
I don't know what I'll do in April; at this point, I am trying to use cookie cutters I haven't yet used, or use them in ways I haven't before (sunflower becomes sun.) Maybe by August, I'll be making snowflakes in order to beat the heat.

Life happens when you're busy making other plans.
Hello all!
The past five months have kind of flown by, really. You think to yourself "I should really update that blog" and then BAM, it's five months later. The business has been a little slow, as it goes sometimes. I have some ideas rattling around in my mind for some cookies, hopefully those will take shape real soon. Until then, take a gander at some orders from the past few months.
First up, Mother's Day. Yes, it was a few months ago but why only have one day to celebrate Mom?
Hopefully it won't be another five months before you hear from me again. Until next time!

Below are two orders that presented a new challenge to me: barbecue cookies. Rather than do burgers and chicken parts, I went for the source, and who can forget the grill.
Hopefully it won't be another five months before you hear from me again. Until next time!

Valentine's Day wha?
I have been so busy helping to plan a friend's baby shower, and making cookies for a cousin's baby shower, I had no time to do anything for Valentine's Day. Thus, no hearts, just babies.
Perhaps, nine months from now (well, eight months, you don't want to have your shower while you're giving birth), I could be making some cookies for your shower. Happy Valentine's Day, everyone!

Goodbye 2012, Hello 2013!
December has been a very good month, though I was neglectful in getting pictures of everything I made this month. Here is just a small sample of what I did these past few weeks:
Christmas cookies, clockwise from top: sugar cookies, lime shortbread with dried cherries, peppermint biscotti, and banana oat chocolate chip cookies.
Gear pump cookies, what I came up with for someone who asked for hydraulic pump cookies.
This Penske truck is bringing you holiday cheer.
I hope you all have a wonderful & happy New Year! See you in 2013!

My how time flies!
I should make some cookies shaped as clocks and throw them out the window, since time has flown since my last post. Life has been a bit hectic these past fews month, and since this business is just me, and in addition to my full time job, I've been slightly neglectful in updating. What have I been up to in the cooke department, you might ask? Check these out:
These were made for my nephew Ethan's baptism. The cookies are not as cute as Ethan.
These were made for a detective-themed birthday celebration. That is my actual thumb print on the magnifying glass. Now you can have cookies for your next 'Sherlock' or 'Elementary' viewing party!
